Dai is also a trained opera singer and pianist. He gained both the Associate and the Licentiateship piano diplomas at an early age. Following his degree in music he was awarded a scholarship to The Royal College of Music. He was further honoured with a travel scholarship to study Opera in Florence.
As a professional musician (known as David Vaughan-Lewis) he gives private tuition in piano, singing and music theory. He has taught in several private and state schools and has lectured in colleges of Performing Arts.
David teaches piano to children and adults of all abilities and ages, up to Grade 8 and Diploma level. His methods employ a wide variety of music styles from classical to music theatre and jazz.
He also teaches established musicians, performers and music teachers who want to advance their skills, and complete beginners of all ages, who love music and just want to learn for fun.
David is a specialist in keyboard harmony and theory tuition.
